JTL, in collaboration with Trenergy, was proud to be part of a significant project involving the repair of a KOBM (Klockner Oxygen Blown Maxhutte) Furnace.
The furnace, weighing over 400 metric tons, was transported by barge to a St. Catharines facility for repairs and, upon completion, was safely delivered back by barge.
KOBM Furnaces are crucial in the steelmaking process, where they combine scrap steel and molten iron from the melters to produce high-quality steel.
